Police in Tampa issued an arrest warrant almost two weeks ago. The active warrant stems from a domestic battery incident involving the mother of his children.
Brown remains on the run, mainly because he still refuses to come outside of his home and be arrested. New details have since emerged as to why this has taken so long.
According to League of Justice’s Amy Dash, police have only issued an arrest warrant on the former receiver meaning they are unable to force their way into his home. The report adds that Brown is also inside the residence with a “personal assistant,” who some believe is a love interest.
“Police say Brown’s lady friend is free to come and go as she pleases as are any other visitors he may want to have. Brown is in his home and on his property and police basically have their hands tied instead of the other way around.”
Late last month, Brown and the woman were involved in a verbal altercation at his home in South Tampa and then it turned physical when he attempted to evict the woman from the home by locking her out. The next day, a judge denied a petition for a temporary risk protection order to prevent him from possessing firearms or ammunition if he was considered a threat to himself or others.
Brown remains active on all social media platforms. Not really sure what he expects to happen, because the police aren’t going to just forget and not arrest him. At some point, he’s going to have to leave and deal with this warrant. The controversial wideout could’ve been bonded out by now.
He is only facing misdemeanor charges.
