A new clear-cut favorite for NFL MVP has emerged following Sunday’s slate of earlier games.
NFC rivals, the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, were both in action on the day but only one of them managed a win. The Niners beat the Arizona Cardinals as expected, leaving the field on the back of a convincing 45-29 victory.
It was more than we could say for Dallas, who fell short in a 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Brock Purdy is now the favorite for MVP following another solid performance. The young quarterback threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns on 16-of-25 passing to usurp Dak Prescott, who had a difficult Sunday as he could only manage 134 passing yards with no touchdowns. Prescott also threw an interception in the loss.
DraftKings Sportsbook has Purdy down at -150 where said odds are concerned.
The Niners now hold the league’s best record, 11-3, and have clinched the top spot in the NFC West, while the Eagles are back on top of the NFC East for the time being and could regain full control with a win against Seattle on Monday night.
