New Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh wore some curious clothing for Fourth of July celebrations on Thursday.
Harbaugh no longer holds a coaching position with the Michigan Wolverines, having returned to the NFL after leading them to a National Title. However, he was still repping the university at a recent parade.
A photo of the coach at a Fourth of July outing has gone viral on social media. It shows him wearing a Wolverines hat while holding up a Michigan flag.
“Coach Harbaugh representing your National Champion Wolverines at the Coronado 4th Parade!” the tweet bearing said image read.
Check it out below:
“Ya think he love Michigan….so glad we had him while it lasted. Happy 4th all!!” a user remarked.

“What if we just won the big ten and natty again????? Miss him but what if?” another asked.
“Still hard to digest JH not being in maize and blue. Warde fumbled,” a third offered.
It’s unknown whether the hat belongs to Harbaugh or whether he borrowed it for the photo, but it’s clear that he’s still very much into his former team.
After all, he was with the Wolverines from 2015 until leaving for the Chargers this year.
Jim Harbaugh Is All-In With His New Team
While he still has love for his old team, Jim Harbaugh is all-in with the Chargers.
A report from The Athletic has revealed that the new head coach participated in drills with the squad during OTAs this offseason.
“The Chargers capped all their OTAs with what Jim Harbaugh terms a “fourth-quarter finishing” period,” it reads. “Practice would end. The team would huddle for a speech from Harbaugh. Then groups would split up by positions to go through various exercises.
“The idea is to simulate the extra effort needed at the end of games. Players carried medicine balls for 50 yards. They dragged sleds and flipped over large weighted contraptions. They did pushups and planks. Harbaugh participated in all the fourth-quarter finishing periods.”
While he doesn’t appear to have the personnel in L.A. to win him a Super Bowl, the Chargers will be one of the most intriguing teams heading into next season.
