For the second time in just a few days, Tua Tagovailoa had a scary-looking injury, and unlike the game against the Buffalo Bills, he won’t be returning tonight.
This time he was taken off on a stretcher and transported to the hospital with a serious head injury.
In the second quarter, Tagovailoa went back to pass, but got thrown backwards by Cincinnati defensive lineman Josh Tupou. Tagovailoa stayed down and the Amazon Prime Video cameras showed his fingers were locked in what looked like a fencing response.
Shortly after the injury, neurologist Chris Nowinski took to Twitter and put the NFL and the Dolphins on major blast for allowing the QB on the field.

And he wasn’t done there.
After the Miami Dolphins posted an update on Tua Tagovailoa’s condition, Chris responded by suggesting that they be put in jail for allowing their quarterback to play five days after suffering a head injury. He even said he’d push for murder chargers if Tua “dies from second-impact syndrome.”
Amazon Prime Video reported during the game that the Dolphins said Tagovailoa suffered head and neck injuries and he was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
