Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal reports that the NFL will launch its own streaming service. It will be called NFL Plus.
The league is expected to sell the service for roughly $5 per month, but if it gets popular, you know the price will likely change in the future.
Per Fischer, the service will focus on providing access to live games on mobile phones and tablet. Other content, including radio broadcasts and podcasts, could also possibly be included.
Many years ago, the NFL launched a free streaming service dubbed NFL Now, and although it is still around, it never developed into much of anything.
