This quite literally might be the greatest pass you’ll ever see in NFL preseason play.
During the Jacksonville Jaguars-Dallas Cowboys preseason game on Saturday, rookie quarterback Nathan Rourke — who came over from the Canadian Football League earlier this year — pulled off a Houdini-like escape that resulted in six.
Late in the fourth quarter, Rourke somehow avoided what looked to be a sure-sack and found Qadree Ollison for a 21-yard touchdown.
That essentially iced the game, with the Jaguars prevailing 28-23.
In his unofficial NFL debut, Rourke completed nine of 17 pass attempts for 153 yards and one touchdown without taking a single sack. Certainly, not a bad way for Rourke to introduce himself to the NFL.

The 25-year-old Rourke of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada signed with the Jaguars after a breakout year for the CFL’s BC Lions. Rourke was named the CFL Most Outstanding Canadian of 2022 after leading the Lions to the Western Final, where they fell to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Rourke hasn’t yet locked down his spot on the Jaguars’ final 53-man roster, but plays like what we saw on Saturday will only help his case.
