The Miami Dolphins earned a win on Sunday against the New York Jets, and the game was never in doubt for the home team.
In the span of a month, the Dolphins beat the Jets twice by an aggregate score of 64-13. This time around they would not have the services of Tyreek Hill since he was out with an injury.
That was perfectly fine since wide receiver Jaylen Waddle was in for a big performance. Waddle finished with a season-high 142 yards on eight receptions Sunday, including a 60-yard touchdown.
Waddle’s performance was viral-worthy but he wasn’t the only person in the stadium who had eyes attached to him.
Inside Hard Rock Stadium on this day was a mystery man who was incredibly muscular with a huge mustache that was spotted on the Dolphins’ sidelines.

It turns out he is not mysterious at all.
His name is Sam Brenner, and he is a former NFL center who signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2013 after playing at Utah in college. Brenner struggled for playing time with Miami and was even waived four times during the start of the 2015 season.
Despite not being that well-known to the NFL community, Brenner is in fact a Super Bowl champion. The Denver Broncos picked up Brenner off waivers and incredibly he won a Super Bowl alongside Peyton Manning three months later. He was not active for the game but he was still able to secure a Super Bowl ring as a member of the Broncos’ 53-man roster.
Brenner is currently enrolled in a Master of Science-Kinesiology program at Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and has been the strength and conditioning coach with the Dolphins for the past two seasons.
