Don’t be surprised if ong Los Angeles Chargrs star ends up on the move this offseason.
The Chargers are rumored to potentially trade veteran edge rusher Khalil Mack in the 2024 offseason.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Los Angeles Chargers Pro Bowl edge rusher Khalil Mack is being pursued by ‘multiple teams.’
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday’s SportsCenter that the Los Angeles Chargers edge-rusher “is one in particular that I know multiple teams I’ve spoken to have an eye on because he had the 17 sacks a year ago. Huge cap hit and [the Chargers] can save $20-plus million on their cap if they were to trade or move on. Maybe there’s a trade possibility for a team in need of a pass rusher and there will be many in that market around free agency.”
The 6’3″, 239-pound future Hall of Famer is under team control this offseason but doesn’t have much say in where he winds up to start the 2024 NFL season.
Mack inked a six-year, $141 million contract while with the Chicago Bears ($60 million of which was guaranteed at the time of the signing). He’ll be in the final season of that agreement next year.
