“See ya next year,” tweeted Joe Burrow as the Cincinnati Bengals star reflected on what looks like a serious knee injury for the quarterback.
On Sunday, the rookie QB suffered an injury in the third quarter of a tightly contested game between Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Football Team, with Cincinnati leading 9-7. The 2019 Heisman Trophy winner was left lying on the floor clutching his left knee, before being carted off the field.
He tore his ACL, but things only got worse on Monday.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the MRI revealed more damage than anticipated for Bengals QB Joe Burrow, who tore his ACL and MCL and suffered other structural issues in his knee.
Ian Rapoport confirmed the news while adding that Burrow will undergo reconstructive surgery and rehab for 2021.
