In today’s NFL, you need a fast and powerful passing game as opposed to relying on a strong running game that was the standard back in the ‘90s. Wide receivers in the NFL are massive game-changers with their ability to catch the ball and agility to burn even the best of defensive backs.
Here are the NFL’s 10 most UNGUARDABLE wide receivers in the league right now:
CeeDee Lamb
The Dallas Cowboys’ young superstar wide receiver, already has two 1,000+ receiving yard seasons under his belt. And so far this season, Lamb not only talks the talk but he also backs up his talk with results like he did during a week two game against the New York Jets where he surpassed ‘Sauce’ Gardner. After the game, Gardner deleted his X account after the game. Good luck to any other defensive back aiming to guard Lamb!
Justin Jefferson
The Minnesota Vikings may not be the most elite team in the league, but one thing that is for certain is Jefferson is one of the game’s most UNGUARDABLE wide receivers right now! Jefferson has had three 1,000+ seasons in the league with no signs of letting up any time soon. Jefferson also had the catch of the year against the Buffalo Bills. Jefferson has the hands and speed to give all opposing defensive backs nightmares before their games. Sweet dreams!
Davante Adams

Adams was a bit of a late bloomer in the NFL, but he truly knows how to shine whether supporting quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, Derek Carr for his first season in Las Vegas, or the newly acquired Jimmy Garopollo. Despite being on a 6-11 Las Vegas Raiders team, Adams’ was still named to the Pro Bowl and a first-team All-Pro. If he were on a true championship contender team like the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, or Kansas City Chiefs, opposing defenses wouldn’t stand a chance!
Tyreek Hill
One of the league’s fastest wide receivers, Hill (nicknamed the Cheetah when he was with the Kansas City Chiefs). His speed hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down since he joined the Miami Dolphins. Hill has had five 1,000+ receiving-yard seasons in the league, and he had 1,710 receiving yards during his first season in South Beach. He’ll torch any defensive back no matter their size. Hill does it all with his superior speed.
Stefon Diggs
Diggs’ momentum started with his famous Divisional round touchdown when he was with the Minnesota Vikings. He has only gotten better with the Buffalo Bills by seeing the highest number of yards of his career. Diggs even hauled in 11 touchdowns last season, the most of his career. It’s only upward and onward for Diggs.
AJ Brown
Starting with Ryan Tannehill throwing Brown the ball to Jalen Hurts is a massive game-changer for any wide receiver, especially for Brown who had his best statistical season last year in Philadelphia with almost 1,500 receiving yards even though his Eagles came short of winning Super Bowl 57 against Kansas City. Brown can make any cornerback and safety look trivial with his hands and strength to catch the ball in coverage as well as beat out his opponent. All defensive backs have been warned.
Ja’Marr Chase
Ever since reuniting with his former LSU teammate Joe Burrow in Cincinnati, Chase has upped his game to be a ball catching threat to opposing defensive backs. Chase has had two 1,000+ yard seasons which all started his rookie year. Watching Chase catch passes from Burrow is like a modern-day magic show putting cornerbacks and safeties to shame. The only thing missing from Chase’s already young and impressive resume is a Super Bowl Championship.
Mike Evans
Whether it was Jameis Winston, Tom Brady, and now Baker Mayfield, Evans is a game changer. Even though he just turned 30, there is no slowing down in Evans’ game. He has had a 1,000+ yard season every year since he came into the league in 2014. His talents against opposing defenses are one of many reasons why he’s a Super Bowl Champion! Evans knows how to haunt opposing defenses and reach for the ball to score the game-changing touchdown!
Terry McLaurin
One of the new upcoming Pro Bowl stars for the Washington Commanders, McLaurin can make ridiculous catches in deep coverage that makes the best cornerback question what he did wrong during the play. Despite playing at the tail-end of the Dan Snyder era in Washington, McLaurin’s status will continue to rise even though the NFC East has become a very competitive division that’s always wide open for a new winner every year since 2005. McLaurin also made his first Pro Bowl last year, and there’s more to come!
Tyler Lockett
Still considered one of the underrated receivers, Lockett has been a Swiss Army Knife for the Seattle Seahawks. Even though he made the Pro Bowl only once, Lockett has had four 1,000+ yard seasons since 2019 and can catch deep passes in minimal or heavy coverage. Lockett can still put fear in opposing defenses who enter the Pacific Northwest! A Super Bowl championship and future Pro Bowl appearances are overdue for Lockett- who deserves them all!
