The New Orleans Saints have ruled out Michael Thomas for Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, with that decision coming after the star wide receiver had an altercation with a teammate at practice this weekend.
Thomas had been listed as questionable with an ankle injury, but the Saints updated his status Sunday to out, saying the change was not related to injury.
Soon after the news, Tom Pelissero dropped more details showing Thomas had punched Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, which led to his discipline.
The three-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time All-Pro has three catches for 17 yards in his only action this season.
He led the NFL last season with 149 catches and 1,725 receiving yards.
