The Baltimore Ravens are having the worst 2021 season ever, and they haven’t played a single game yet.
On Thursday, the team got gut punched twice after cornerback Marcus Peters and running back Gus Edwards suffered knee injuries on back-to-back plays, which caused their practice to be cut short.
Ian Rapoport added that the Ravens fear both Peters and Edwards may have suffered torn ACLs, which would end their respective seasons.
According to NFL insider Peter Schrager, Peters was doing a routine drill when he went down with the injury.
“Marcus Peters was doing a routine drill, coming out of breaks, that he’s done thousands of times. Freak injury,” Schrager wrote on Twitter.

It was just several weeks ago when the team lost star running back J.K. Dobbins to a torn ACL that will have him miss the entire season. Not to mention, they lost running back Justice Hill, who reportedly suffered a torn Achilles.
Peters was about to enter his second full season with the Ravens after a trade from the Los Angeles Rams partway through the 2019 campaign. He played 14 games in 2020, recording 52 tackles, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and nine passes defended.
