The Browns finally gave disgruntled running back Duke Johnson what he called for all offseason and that was a new home when he was traded to the Houston Texans on Thursday.
In return for sending the veteran RB to Houston — the Cleveland Browns are said to be receiving a fourth-rounder in the 2020 draft that can become a third-rounder.
Johnson’s career receiving grade (90.9) ranks fifth among running backs with at least 100 targets dating back to 2015.
The Texans bolster their backfield behind Pro Bowl alternate Lamar Miller and give Texans a proven backup after cutting D’Onta Foreman.
Johnson is under contract through 2021 and carries a $3 million cap hit this season.
