On Thursday, Dez Bryant was put on the reserve/COVID-19 list despite announcing on Twitter that he again had tested negative for the coronavirus.
By being put on the list, Bryant, will be out 10 days and will miss Monday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Before Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys — Bryant was pulled off the field and told he had tested positive.
On Thursday, Bryant said on Twitter that it could have been a false positive.
NFL insider explained the situation further:
“Dez Bryant’s Tuesday morning PCR test showed warning signs — specifically, it detected COVID-19 genetic material. That’s why Dez was pulled from warmups for another test. As another star player learned recently, it can take days to ‘turn positive,’” Pelissero said.
