Something weird is going on with Monday Night Football this year through two weeks.
Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was carted off the field after suffering an apparent leg injury during the second quarter of the Browns Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chubb was in the middle of a solid display, too, rushing for 64 yards on 10 carries, including a 20-yarder.
Chubb initially attempted to get up but realized he couldn’t. Eventually, Cleveland brought out a cart to remove Chubb from the field and transport him to the locker room as Steelers fans gave him a huge ovation while screaming his name.
Chubb suffered a significant injury that will likely sideline him for an extended period, if not the entire season.
What’s crazy about this is that Aaron Rodgers also suffered a season-ending injury on Monday Night Football this year as well. During the 2022 season, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered from cardiac arrest in the final MNF matchup of last year.
The week before that went down, Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray also suffered a torn ACL.
It has fans thinking that MNF is truly cursed.

Something is definitely going on with this day of the week.
As far as the most recent injury, no matter how long he’s out, Chubb represents a massive loss for Cleveland’s offense. He’s arguably the best pure runner in the NFL and managed at least 1,000 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in each of the last four years.
Cleveland is totally going to change with their direction based on that injury to Chubb.
