The mother of Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie broke her silence after she had to witness her son collapsing on the sideline during his game against the New York Jets on Sunday.
Tanjala T. Gipson, M.D., posted a picture on X on Sunday showing a T-shirt supporting the running back with a Bible verse from Jeremiah 29:11. The verse read,”‘ For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
“This photo was taken just before today’s game,” Gipson wrote on X. “God was good then, and God is good now. We may not know what the future holds, but we know Who holds the future. Thank you so very much for your prayers for our son Tyler Badie.”
The Denver Broncos running back left Sunday’s win over the New York Jets after needing medical assistance on the sideline.
It was reported that he had full movement of his arms and legs and is back in Denver with the team, but the injury could land him on injured reserve, per Ian Rapoport.
However, there is a chance he can return to the team this year.

Despite everything that happened, this is a positive update to what was a scary situation that unfolded on the sideline in Week 4 that ultimately saw Tyler Badie leave the game on a backboard and carted off the field.
His injury came about after Broncos quarterback Bo Nix completed a pass to him, but he fumbled away possession when linebacker Quincy Williams hit him.
Badie took a massive shot to his back.
Badie eventually got up and went back to the sideline, but the effects that hit got to him, and he would soon collapse.
Tyler Badie was placed on a stretcher and taken off the field on a cart.
