Tom Brady extended more than an olive branch when he met his new teammate Mohamed Sanu after the wide receiver was traded to New England.
This week, the Patriots quarterback went one step further in welcoming wide receiver Mohamed Sanu to New England when he jokingly offered his No. 12 jersey to the WR.
Saun had a great reaction to that:
“He DM’d me when I first got traded, he said welcome and everything like that, how he was excited, and then he said if I wanted 12 I could get it and I was like, ‘Nah’,” Sanu said, shaking his head and smiling while talking with reporters Friday. “You got that. I’ll change to 14.”
Sanu wore jersey No. 12 with the Bengals and with the Falcons for seven full seasons, but that will clearly change as he transitions to play for the Patriots.
