Aaron Rodgers could be on the market this offseason as the Green Bay Packers are finally open to letting him go.
Rodgers will have multiple suitors should he reach the trading block this year. And the Indianapolis Colts have been named as a team that could attempt to acquire the four-time NFL MVP.
The Colts haven’t really had a consistent quarterback since Andrew Luck from 2012-2016 and will be looking for a new one for the fourth straight year.
Tom Brady isn’t available, having announced his retirement last week. But there are still attractive options on the market, with Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo both set for a change in 2023.
Indianapolis has the fourth overall pick in this year’s draft, so that leaves them with enough negotiating power to land a player of Rodgers’ caliber. And a new mock draft has them doing just that.
The Packers would certainly entertain the possibility of snagging the No. 4 selection as it would help them build around Jordan Love. Two first-round picks would likely go a long way toward allowing such.

Meanwhile, landing Rodgers would definitely help the Colts compete in the AFC South, which hosts a rebuilding Houston Texans side, a so-far non-competitive Tenessee Titans, and Jacksonville Jaguars who, despite their feats this season, aren’t quite there yet.
Rodgers does present some risk as he hasn’t committed to playing in 2023, let alone beyond that.
