Mitch Trubisky does not want to see or hear your negative takes.
The Chicago Bears starting quarterback is reportedly trying to censor negative stories from being shown at the Bears practice facility by attempting to get all televisions turned off, especially ones showing football related shows.
“Trying to get some of these TVs in the building turned off because you’ve got too many people talking on TV about us and what they think about us and what we should do, what we are, and what we’re not… But they don’t really know who we are, or what we’re capable of as people, or what we’re going through or what we’re thinking. It’s just the outside viewers looking in. So tunnel vision, ear muffs, and just come to work every day and try to get better and get back to what we know we’re capable of doing.”
Trubisky, who was easily one of the most popular picks to win NFL MVP in 2019, he has regressed to the point that a popular sportsbook refunded bettors who actually chose him to win the award. Trubisky currently ranks third to last in the league in QBR as well as last in the league in yards per attempt.
Hopefully he can turn it around, because he and the Bears are in danger of being remembered as the guy chosen in the 2017 NFL Draft ahead of Houston’s Deshaun Watson and Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes.
The Bears are currently 3-5 and two games back in the loss column to the 6-3 Minnesota Vikings for the NFC’s second Wild Card.
