With quarterback Kenny Pickett sidelined by an ankle injury, Mitch Trubisky will make his first start of the season for the Steelers when they take on the New England Patriots on Thursday night.
Trubisky has been with the club for over a year and has comfort and familiarity with the team already.
That does not seem to matter to one player on the team.
Reporters asked running back Najee Harris questions about Trubisky’s leadership ability and style and he did not sound like a man who has confidence in Trubisky.
“Najee Harris on Mitch Trubisky’s leadership: ‘It’s fine, I guess.’ Follow-up Q: How would you describe his style? ‘Vocal, I guess.'”
Currently, Pittsburgh sits as the fifth seed in the AFC playoff picture. They need to be able to stay afloat as they take on the Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts in that span. Both teams are behind them in the hunt but pushing for a playoff birth.
