The Dallas Cowboys have been proudly wearing the “America’s Team” moniker, despite the team failing to get back to the Super Bowl in 26 years and counting.
The Cowboys won three Super Bowls in the 1992, 1993, and 1995 seasons behind Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin. However, the team hasn’t been to the NFC Championship game, let alone the Super Bowl, since the mid-90’s.
On Monday, WTOK-TV weatherman Ethan Bird was simply letting the folks in the Mississippi area know about the hot weather coming to the city, when he decided to take a random shot at the Cowboys.
“It’s looking a little bit like those Dallas Cowboys, just peaking in the 90s.”
Last season, the Cowboys went 12-5 and met the 49ers in the NFL playoffs for the first time in over 20 years. The road team would come out victorious on that day, as San Fran upset Dallas to move onto the Divisional Round.
The Cowboys are hoping to rebound in 2022 after that disappointment.
