A Minnesota Vikings writer has proposed a blockbuster trade that would see the NFC North leaders add yet another prolific weapon to their offense.
The Vikings are coming off their Week 7 bye in good shape: They sit atop the division with a 5-1 record, 2.5 games clear of longtime Kryptonite Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. That means for the first time in three years, the Vikings will likely be motivated to buy ahead of the trade deadline (Nov. 1).
Earlier this week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Denver Broncos have gotten “multiple trade inquiries” on third-year wideouts Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler and defensive end Bradley Chubb, a pending free agent.
Tyler Forness of Vikings Wire offered an interesting trade proposal that would see the Vikings land Jeudy, Denver’s 2020 first round pick:
What could the Vikings do with Jeudy at receiver? He would give them an element that they don’t have with both Adam Thielen and K.J. Osborn: a natural separator as a route runner. They need some explosiveness to pair with Jefferson and the Vikings having three receivers drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft, including both Jefferson and Jalen Reagor, would give the room would be a lot of talent.
The cost for the Vikings would likely be a third-round pick and it would be a good price to pay considering the talent level of Jeudy and what he could bring to the Vikings this year and long-term.
Jeudy was taken 15th overall by the Broncos in 2020. Though he struggled with drops in his rookie year, Jeudy finished with a respectable stat line of 52 receptions for 856 yards and three touchdowns.
He was limited to 10 games in 2021 because of injuries. The Alabama product finished his sophomore year with 38 catches for 467 yards.

The arrival of perennial Pro Bowler and quarterback Russell Wilson was supposed to elevate the Denver offense, but nothing has gone right in Mile High City this year. Jeudy has 24 catches for 386 yards and two touchdowns, having struggled to get on the same page as the future Hall of Famer.
A change of scenery may be best for Jeudy, who unquestionably has the skill set to be an All-Pro receiver in the NFL. The Vikings already have a potent offense led by Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen and arguably the game’s best wideout in Justin Jefferson.
But adding another player like Jeudy could help take this offense to another level.
