A teenage girl who was the target of a racist video last month just got the shock of a lifetime when she received her dream from the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.
On top of attending her very first Vikings game at U.S. Bank Stadium, Nya Sigin and her family met with owner Mark Wilf and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and she was presented with two tickets to February’s Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
It was an overall great day for Nya as the Vikings earned a 36-28 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“Oh my God! Oh my God!” Nya responded after Goodell introduced himself and handed her two tickets to the Super Bowl. “It’s the Super Bowl!”
“Do you want to go?” Goodell asked. “Can you go?”

“Yes!” Nya replied, smiling and embracing the commissioner. “Thank you so much!”
“Now you’ve got the hard job,” Goodell added. “You’ve got to pick who’s going with you.”
“This is crazy,” Nya said. “It made me finally feel like I have a support system behind me. And it was just amazing.”
In the 57-second clip, a girl says to the camera, “You can f–king rot in hell…no one likes N—ers … f–king kill yourself right this time.”
Nya said the girls in the video also targeted her struggle with mental health.
“They were always kind of hateful towards me … they would always bring up, like, my mental health issues, like my personal issues,” Nya said.
The team invited Nya and her family to the game after members of the Vikings’ social justice committee met with them on a Zoom call after the incident occurred. According to the press release, Vikings players Anthony Barr, Eric Kendricks, Alexander Mattison and Assistant Head Coach Andre Patterson attended to the virtual meeting.
