Miles Teller’s Hawaiian getaway was perfect until he found out what the five fingers said to the face.
While out Wednesday at Monkeypod Kitchen, the Whiplash star was confronted by a man and was punched in the face, according to TMZ.
A Maui Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Yahoo Entertainment that on Wednesday at about 7:30 p.m., police “responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a West Maui restaurant involving a male victim and one responsible party. The incident is currently under investigation; no further information is available at this time.”
Teller and his wife, Keleigh Sperry Teller — who have been vacationing with his Divergent co-star Shailene Woodley and her NFL star fiancé Aaron Rodgers — were having dinner at the restaurant.
Teller got up to go the restroom and was confronted by an unidentified man. The dispute continued outside the loo, where Teller was hit and “screamed that he was going to press charges.”
TMZ added that the man who punched Teller allegedly was a wedding planner who was irritated that the star owed him $60,000 for services related to Teller’s 2019 wedding.

Teller and his wife had been enjoying their trip alongside Rodgers and Woodley up until this incident.
