The Philadelphia Eagles had quite an impressive 2022/23 season that ended in a Super Bowl appearance against the Kansas City Chiefs.
While they weren’t able to come up with a win, they ran the Chiefs close and many of their players ended the season with a career year.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts earned himself one of the biggest deals in NFL history after a breakout campaign in which he formed an incredible passing attack alongside wide receivers AJ Brown and Devonta Smith.
The running game also saw much improvement due to the contributions form Miles Sanders. But the running back didn’t get many plays in the Super Bowl, making just seven carries.
Speaking to reporters during OTAs for his new team, the Carolina Panthers this week, Sanders revealed he was displeased with the involvement he was afforded during the game.
“Last game of the season? For all of the marbles? Everybody can answer that question,” he said, per Steve Reed of the Associated Press. “If they put themselves in my shoes, would they be happy? I don’t want to make headlines, [but] if it does, I don’t care.”

The 26-year-old rushed for a regular-season career-high 1,269 yards in 2022, also scoring 11 touchdowns. The Eagles allowed him plenty of the ball as he averaged just over 15 carries a game. However, his influence lessened in the playoffs, culminating in a seven-touch performance on the grandest stage.
