Deion Sanders is currently trying to get his staff together to make a major turn for ther program in Colorado and that may include a very familiar name from the National Football League.
Johnathan Cisowski of KLAS in Las Vegas dropped major news this week that former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is possibly i the running to join Deion’s staff with the Buffaloes.
Not many know that Zimmer had been working with Sanders at Jackson State as an advisor and the two have a tremendous relationship.
Before he became a household name as head coach of the Vikings, Zimmer was a defensive coordinator and essentially invented the simulated pressure. His creativity made him one of the best defensive minds in the National Football League.
As a head coach, he racked up a 72-56-1 record in his eight seasons with the Vikings. His team made the playoffs three times and went to the 2017 NFC Championship Game.
Sanders led the Tigers to a 27-5 record in two seasons and was announced as the Buffaloes’ new head coach this past Saturday. His business with Jackson State won’t be finished until he coaches the Tigers in the Celebration Bowl.
