If Mike Tomlin truly does not want to talk about a certain subject, then that is exactly what he s not going to do when being asked about anything.
The Steelers were fresh off a 20-19 win over the Baltimore Ravens which saved their season, but a reporter wanted to know his thoughts about Adam Schefter’s report on Big Ben retiring after the year is done.
“Ben doesn’t allow it to become an issue,” Tomlin said. “Ben has been pretty solid in terms of his expressions that he’s singularly focused on what we’re doing now. He’ll deal with those things on the other side of his journey, and I’m with him on it. So it’s not a distraction. I thought it was funny that it was seemingly a story this weekend, to be honest with you.”
The future Hall of Famer reportedly had informed some within the organization and some ex-teammates he does not expect to return to the Steelers next season, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reported. Schefter adds it is “highly unlikely” the Pro Bowl passer plays for another team.
Big Ben was asked about that report after the game.
“I haven’t told everybody that, no,” Roethlisberger said laughing via ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. “Honestly, we just got done with this game, I’m exhausted. We play in a couple hours, it feels like. That’s my focus. My focus is on Minnesota and what we have to do to get ready.

“I’ll address any of that stuff after the season. I’ve always been a one-game-at-a-time, one-season-at-a-time person. I’m going to stay that way.”
Roethlisberger had one of his better games of the season in the victory over the Ravens, completing 21 of 31 passes for 236 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
