All good things must come to an end.
Former Pittsburgh Steeler safety Ryan Clark spoke out about the team’s locker room issues and what that should mean for Mike Tomlin.
On Friday’s edition of Get Up, the ESPN analyst and former Super Bowl champion spoke on why head coach Mike Tomlin needs to leave the Pittsburgh Steelers. He proceeded to bring up how Andy Reid had to be gone from the Philadelphia Eagles so he could catch his fire again elsewhere, which he did with the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Coach Tomlin needs to be in a new place. Coach Tomlin doesn’t need to retire from coaching because he’s one of the greatest coaches in football today. (But) he doesn’t need to be there anymore. The same way that Andy Reid eventually had to move on from Philadelphia, it didn’t mean that Reid couldn’t coach anymore. It meant that he shouldn’t be coaching there. And Coach Tomlin should now move on from Pittsburgh and everybody should line up to hire him…” Clark said.
A few weeks ago, the Steelers were sitting pretty with a 7-4 record but they have since dropped the last three contests and are now 7-7 and in last place in the AFC North.
Tomlin has never had a losing season in 16 years but that record is in jeopardy.
