Reporters got their money’s worth from Mike McDaniel on Wednesday.
The Miami Dolphins head coach got in front of the press and warned them to prepare for his players as he’s given them permission to tell members of the media to “F- off.”
McDaniel and the Dolphins will be going up against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday and, of course, he wants his players focused, to the point where could swear at reporters.
“I instructed the players that anything other than concerning yourself with the next opponent, which for us is the Dallas Cowboys, any other narrative that has to do with good teams, or playoff seeds, or the next three games, all that stuff, I gave them the clearance to tell all members of the media, to, with all due respect, F off. With all due respect,” the head coach said in quotes transcribed by ProFootballTalk.
“Because all we’re focused on is the Dallas Cowboys, and they definitely deserve our attention. So as we clean up our game from the previous, we’ll be thinking about that and the narratives will be what they be. We’re not really concerned. We know that will exist but it’s really inconsequential to what we’re trying to do.”
We can’t help but wonder how such a joke would go over in Germany.
Anyhoo, the upcoming clash is of much importance where Miami is concerned as they still have to play the Buffalo Bills again. They have a two-game lead ahead of their AFC East rivals but have already lost to them once this season and will be playing them in week 18.

If they win on Sunday, the Dolphins will have an opportunity to go top of the AFC with a victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17.
