Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said he saw signs this offseason that Jaylen Waddle could have a huge year.
The Miami Dolphins dominated from start to finish in a 30-0 shutout of the New York Jets in Week 15 and that was without the services of Tyreek Hill.
They were able to do so because Jaylen Waddle was at the top of his game.
Waddle caught eight passes for 142 yards and a 60-yard touchdown, as he was the go-to target from start to finish for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
That 60-yard touchdown was even more spectacular after footage surfaced of head coach Mike McDaniels pacing up and down the sidelines predicting that it would happen.

Waddle needed this type of game as the 2023 season has been a difficult one for him due to injuries. This was just the third game that he eclipsed 100 yards.
Waddle has shown the ability to be a much more impactful player but the team hasn’t really needed him to do that since Tyreek Hill has been in town. The emergence of the running game, led by Raheem Mostert, has certainly helped.
If Waddle can continue to be a threat, this Dolphins team will shock many people in the playoffs.
