Miami Dolphins’ head coach Mike McDaniel and Los Angeles Rams’ star defensive tackle Aaron Donald had a brief interaction at UFC 287, and you can probably guess how NFL Twitter reacted to it.
As you can see in the clip below, the second-year head coach and the three-time Defensive Player of the Year exchanged a huge and briefly spoke at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Donald laughs at a comment by McDaniel before the latter moves along.
And yes, this interaction has plenty of fans suggesting that a Donald-to-Miami trade is on the horizon. Others also joked about the Dolphins “tampering” here.

The Dolphins have already acquired one superstar from the Rams. Last month, they landed All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Rams in exchange for the No. 77 selection in this year’s draft plus tight end Hunter Long.
Adding Donald would help take an already talented Miami defense to another level. But general manager Les Snead doesn’t at all seem keen on trading away the best defensive player of his generation, and understandably so.
Even without Ramsey, the Rams still have three stars in Donald, quarterback Matthew Stafford and Super Bowl 56 MVP and wideout Cooper Kupp. And with Miami lacking a first-round pick in this year’s draft, they probably don’t have the trade capital to entice the Rams in a potential blockbuster move anyway.
