The Dallas wasted no time in finding their guy to replace Jason Garrett after finally coming to a decision to let him go on Sunday.
First thing Monday morning, it was announced that Mike McCarthy will be the ninth coach in the history of the Dallas Cowboys.
McCarthy not only interviewed for the job, but everything seemed to be falling into place so well that he actually stayed over at Jerry Jones’ house on Saturday night, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
McCarthy compiled a 125-77-2 record with the Packers and made the playoffs in nine of his 13 seasons.
He also has history in AT&T Stadium as the Packers won Super Bowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers at that stadium.
