There are probably a few moments from yesterday’s game that Mike McCarthy wishes he could take back.
One of them was that awful final play, which saw Ezekiel Elliott get bulldozed while trying to play the center position.
Another moment that the Dallas Cowboys head coach is probably regretting came after the final whistle of his team’s 19-12 loss, as an angry McCarthy was spotted pushing a photographer aside as he made his way off the field at Levi’s Stadium.
It was a bad look for the Cowboys coach, but apparently it looked a lot worse than it really was.
At least, that’s the impression we’re left with after watching video of the incident and hearing from the photographer himself.
Following the act, NBC photojournalist Noah Bullard took to Twitter to post the video and explain exactly what transpired. In the tweet, Bullard explained that McCarthy’s actions were “more of a hand to the lens” than an actual push.

He also claimed that McCarthy met with him privately afterwards to apologize for his actions.
Having a camera shoved in your face following a crushing, season-ending loss can’t be fun. It’s not surprising to see McCarthy react the way he did…
That being said, these are the same coaches that preach discipline to their players on a daily basis throughout the week. It’s kind of hard for your players to take your comments about taking stupid penalties seriously when you can’t even keep your hands to yourself while walking off the field after a game.
