Amari Cooper was greatly missed last week against the Dallas Cowboys and on Thanksgiving against the Las Vegas Raiders. The team lost both games without him on the field after he tested positive for COVID-19 and had to be quarantined for 10 days before returning.
Now that he is eligible to come back, things are looking too good for him to return as McCarthy confirmed that Cooper is back in the building for this week, but he’s still a bit under the weather.
The Cowboys WR is still recovering from a positive COVID-19 test.
“My gut would be if he doesn’t practice tomorrow, I don’t see him going to the game,” McCarthy said.
The Cowboys are already dealing with not having their head coach for Thursday night as well as several other coaches and players due to a COVID outbreak.

Cooper has 583 yards and five touchdowns on 44 receptions so far this year.
The Cowboys 7-4 record is still the best in the NFC East, but the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Football Team are still in the race.
