Mike McCarthy Fined By NFL For 2nd-Straight Year For Having Practices ‘Too Physical’

Mike McCarthy just cannot seem to contain himself when it comes to practice.

The Dallas Cowboys have once again been penalized for hosting OTA practices that have been deemed too physical. As a result, head coach Mike McCarthy has been fined $100,000, according to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News.

Jerry Jones said the Cowboys were penalized for physical OTA practices. A source said coach Mike McCarthy was fined $100k. It’s the second consecutive year the Cowboys have been penalized by the league. The Cowboys will lose a OTA practice next year.

This would mark the second straight year the Cowboys have been fined for having physical OTAs. Because of that, they will lose an OTA practice next year.

For the second straight year Mike McCarthy was fined by the NFL for having practices that were deemed too physical, according to owner Jerry Jones. After being fined $50,000 last year, McCarthy was docked $100,000 and the Cowboys have lost an organized team activity for 2023.

The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2021 regular season with a 12-5 record, winning the NFC East. It was their fourth division title in the last eight years.
