Mike Florio has accused Ian Rapoport and NFL Network of copying and pasting his exclusive on the Jimmy Garoppolo bombshell that’s rocked the NFL world.
The Las Vegas Raiders signed the quarterback to a three-year deal this year and all appeared rosy as he was expected to be their starting QB in 2023. However, it’s since been revealed that the player had offseason surgery on an injured foot.
According to Florio, he broke the exclusive story about a clause in Jimmy G’s contract called “Addendum G” that will allow the Raiders to forego his payments should he fail to pass a physical.
Multiple outlets put their own stories out, including NFL Network, through Ian Rapoport. And Florio has called them out for stealing his work while crediting Rapoport for breaking it.
The ProFootballTalk reporter and analyst said he discovered the misdeed by finding a typo in the Network’s story that he had in his own story.
“Clearly copied and pasted language from our story, because they also copied and pasted my failure to include the letter ‘i’ in the word ‘medial.’ (It’s the first time in 22 years that a typo has actually been a good thing for us.),” he noted.

Florio added that the typo is still in the league-owned outlet’s report despite him calling them out on it.
What Is Addendum G Exactly?
So back to that clause. Garoppolo signed his deal with the Raiders knowing they will have the option to waive him if he fails a physical, though he would have some wiggle room as it won’t be triggered as long as he can prove his fitness by the beginning of next season.
The waiver would become null and void as long as he passes a physical exam, is active for one regular season game, and does not re-injure the foot.
