The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.
This coming from a franchise that hadn’t made the playoffs since 2007. The team hasn’t been relevant since Warren Sapp was dominating along the defensive line, so this has been a dream season for the team and the fan base.
Then came last offseason and the influx of good to great players like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. When asked how he felt about it this week, Mike Evans shockingly claimed the team did not take the easy road to get where they are right now.
Any team that signed Tom Brady was going to be a playoff contender regardless of the supporting cast, so it pretty much gets no easier to succeed than to add a future Hall of Fame quarterback and a future Hall of Fame tight end in the same offseason.
On top of that, the team added five-time All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown midseason.
