The NFL season might be over for 30 of the 32 teams, but that doesn’t mean the game has stopped for the teams that aren’t in the Super Bowl.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to take several major step backs after Tom Brady retired from the NFL, but a current WR is already setting things in motion to get the team what it needs. After the Pro Bowl, Buccaneers star receiver Mike Evans took to social media to praise Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray after the duo connected for a touchdown pass.
“Always wanted to catch a pass from the Texas legend @k1,” Evans said tagging Murray in the Instagram Story post. Murray later reposted Evans’ comments on his own Instagram Story.
That may seem harmless any other year, but it happens during the same week where Kyler Murray had his social media accounts scrubbed free of any mention of the Arizona Cardinals. This has sparked speculation that Murray may be unhappy in Arizona.
The only way the Buccaneers have a chance to pull off a deal for Murray is if the quarterback demanded a trade from the Cardinals. That doesn’t appear like it will happen, so he will enter the final year of his contract and is due for a sizable raise from his $965,000 salary for 2022.

Without a viable QB under center, the Bucs are slated to be right back where they were before Tom Brady showed up to town. They do have an option in bringing back a familiar face in Jameis Winston, who will certainly get paid this offseason.
He would be a breath of fresh air.
