Last month, Tom Brady made major waves with a new deal that came off the field of play. Brady was given the chance to become a broadcasting icon in future decades after signing a record-breaking contract with Fox. Brady agreed to a deal that will make the seven-time Super Bowl champion the network’s lead NFL analyst following his retirement in a deal reportedly worth $375 million over 10 years.
While it may be historic, Michelle Beadle decided to describe it as “asinine.”
While speaking to former ESPN anchor Bob Ley on her What Did I Miss? podcast, Beadle took issue with Brady’s deal in waiting to become the lead NFL analyst for Fox.
“The $375 million media deal that Tom Brady – that is asinine,” Beadle said. “I mean, I don’t even know what that dude’s ever said that has made me go ‘huh, I can’t wait to hear more of that.’ But $375 million?”
“George Clooney could be naked, juggling, talking about football and I’m still not gonna be like, ‘yup, that was worth $375 million,’” Beadle added. “By the way that was a weird call for Clooney naked, maybe [Chris] Hemsworth, maybe we’re more in Hemsworth territory now.”
There is no telling what type of analyst Brady will be, but he is the greatest quarterback of all time.
