Michelle Beadle is a lot like a ton of women who saw the news of Deshaun Watson, not only getting traded, but receiving a massive fully guaranteed contract in the wake of a grand jury deciding not to pursue criminal charges against him.
The former ESPN Reporter took to her podcast and posted a clip about the situation and blasted fans for defending a guy who does not know them.
“Deshaun Watson doesn’t know you. He doesn’t give a damn about you. You don’t know him. And even if he was able to meet you, he still wouldn’t care. But you’re willing to put your name on the line and your integrity to defend a man who you don’t know what he did.”
Beadle also called out fellow players in the league for not being vocal throughout this entire situation.
When the grand jury declined to indict Watson, his agent, David Mulugheta, tweeted “Keep the same energy” to those who dare believe any of the 22 women who allege Watson committed sexual harassment and/or assault.
The Cleveland Browns acquired Watson from the Houston Texans in exchange for five draft picks, including three first rounders. Arguably, the highlight of the blockbuster trade is that the embattled quarterback will head to Cleveland with a new five-year, $230 million guaranteed deal.
