Michael Wilbon divulged a funny Tom Brady story on Wednesday, following the quarterback’s retirement announcement.
Asked for his best TB memory while co-hosting Pardon the Interruption, Wilbon unsurprisingly shared one involving Michael Jordan.
The veteran sportscaster recalled the night before Super Bowl 49 when Brady and the New England Patriots were gearing up to face the Seattle Seahawks. He said he was having a conversation with Jordan when Ray Lewis wandered over and asked for their picks.
Both Wilbon and Lewis chose the Seahawks, for obvious reasons, but Mike said he was backing Tom Brady. And, because this is Jordan, bets ended up being made.
Of course, Brady went on to win, though the Seahawks gifted the Patriots the game by throwing the ball on the one-yard line.

Wilbon said Jordan answered his phone laughing when he called him after the game, offering a simple bit of advice: never beat against the GOAT.
Brady retired with seven Super Bowl wins to his name and has had some historic performances therein. Now, we all know how unwise it would be to bet against him when it comes to the big game.
