Could Sean Payton return to coach the New Orleans Saints in 2023? If he does, he may be bringing a hall-of-fame QB with him and we are not speaking about Drew Brees.
Speculation has run rampant in recent weeks that Payton will return to the NFL next year, and Tom Brady might be coming with him.
Nothing is concrete about it, but that did not stop Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas from posting about it on his Instagram story.
Payton and Brady were rumored back in the offseason to be partnering up in Miami, and when that did not happen, Brady decided to play for the Tampa Bay Bucs again.
Brady is a free agent in 2023 and he and Payton share an agent.

“Brady is a free agent after the season. He can go anywhere. Why not the Saints? Why not team up with Payton? Why not play his home games in the stadium where he won his first Super Bowl?” the report suggests.
After 16 seasons in New Orleans, Payton shockingly stepped down as head coach in January. He’s spent the 2022 season working as analyst for Fox Sports. Longtime defensive coordinator Dennis Allen was promoted to head coach in February, the Saints are currently 6-9 overall.
Teams like the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, or even the Arizona Cardinals could be searching for a new head coach next year. It was widely speculated that he may be in play for the Dallas Cowboys should the team not make a deep playoff run this year.
