The city of New Orleans woke up this Monday morning completely heartbroken and pissed off as they make their way to work and have to go through conversations with people as to how multiple referees could miss such a blatant call that cost them a trip to the Super Bowl.
The Saints seemed to be less than two minutes away from another trip to the Super Bowl, when tragedy struck in the form of a missed pass interference call on 3rd down that forced them to kick a field goal instead. That call would prove costly as they were forced to go into overtime and watch the Rams kick a game-winning field goal.
Following the game, Saints star wide receiver Michael Thomas took to Twitter and delivered a message to the league about what they could do to correct this action.
