Dallas Cowboys legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin had quite the pep talk for his former team ahead of their NFC Divisional Round clash with the San Francisco 49ers.
In an appearance on NFL Network, Irvin was given the opportunity to fire up his players with one of his signature pep talks. Cowboys stars Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, Tony Pollard, Ezekiel Elliott and CeeDee Lamb were shown on a video screen.
From there, the three-time Super Bowl champion spoke to each player shown on the video board. And let’s just say that if this won’t fire up Cowboys fans ahead of the highly-anticipated showdown, nothing will.
The 49ers and Cowboys met in the NFC Championship Game three years in a row from 1992 to ’94. Dallas won the first two meetings, but San Francisco finally broke through with a victory in the third and final meeting. The winner of those three NFC title clashes went on to win the Super Bowl.
Dallas and San Francisco met in the NFC Wild Card Round at AT&T Stadium last year, with San Francisco winning 23-17.
