Michael Irvin appears to be out at NFL Network ahead of the new NFL season.
The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver has started a new gig at FOX as he’s now one of Skip Bayless’s debate cast on ‘Undisputed’. It does seem like NFL Media is done with him as he was not mentioned in an email announcing the new analysts hired for ‘Game Day’ coverage in 2023.
The email names Gerald McCoy, Chase Daniel, David Shaw, Leslie Frazier, Pep Hamilton, and Robert Turbin as incoming, per ProFootballTalk.
It also notes that “McCoy . . . . will appear regularly on NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning Sundays at 9:00 AM ET, joining Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Steve Mariucci, Cynthia Frelund, Ian Rapoport, Mike Garafolo, Tom Pelissero, and Kimmi Chex.”
The Network has steered clear of an announcement on Irvin’s status after taking him off television earlier this year, but this is as close as they’ve come to taking a public stance on his position.
While there’s nothing explicitly stating Irvin won’t be back, the announcement does suggest that, at the very least, the Network hasn’t made a decision on the Hall of Famer.

The aforementioned show returns on Wednesday, however, so he does appear to be out, from all indications. But he looks to be having enough fun on ‘Undisputed’ to care.
