During an interview with TMZ, Michael Irvin was asked whether Amari Cooper’s decision to not be vaccinated was selfish. He said: “I don’t know what word to put on. But I’m absolutely hot about it.
“Are you joking…[So many players] on the bench, at home, not playing. It’s crazy.”
His status led to him testing positive and missing ten days, which means he missed their big game against the Kansas City Chiefs and will miss Thursday’s game against the Raiders on Thanksgiving.
The Cowboys could do absolutely nothing on offense against the Chiefs as they could only manage three field goals all game long.
“I’m so hot at Amari Cooper for not being on that field.”
“I got a guy who makes $21 million on the bench at home not playing,” Irvin added. “It’s crazy.”

Irvin believes Cooper is way too important to the Cowboys’ championship hopes to miss two games because of his vaccination status.
“You have to try to mitigate any issue that could cost you a game or a Super Bowl, and COVID is one of them,” Irvin said. “You go get vaccinated to try to mitigate it, best you can.”
Nevertheless, Michael stressed the importance of trying to take as many precautions as possible.
“Now you can still get it [covid] even after you get vaccinated.
“But it’s a different percentage chance of you getting it. And I need you to get that different percentage chance. I’m so hot on Amari Cooper for not being on that.”
This isn’t the first time Irvin has spoken in favor of players being vaccinated as he made his stance clear back in July.
“Dude, you’re not thinking right. You’re not thinking right. Whatever you got, I don’t give a damn,” Irvin said, via ProFootballTalk. “Nothing else can be more important. You’re not going to get this [winning a Super Bowl] easily. Nothing else could be more important. … Jimmy [Johnson] made that abundantly clear [during Irvin’s playing career]. Nothing else is more important. And not being one of the [85 percent vaccinated teams] says there’s other things to a great number of people on this team that are more important than winning championships, and that makes me worried.”
The 27-year-old Dallas Cowboys wide receiver has caught 44 passes for 583 yards and five touchdowns.
