For the second time since Michael Irvin retired from the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys have given out his No. 88 jersey, but this time around, it was to rookie wideout CeeDee Lamb.
On Thursday, Dez Bryant, the last WR to wear out, had a classy response to Lamb getting his old number.
‘BE YOU and BE GREAT..” he wrote.
On Friday, Irvin was on ESPN’s First Take and was asked why he was “handing it out to anyone.” He stated that he spoke to Lamb several times before that decision was made and he felt that Lamb is exactly what the team needs.
He is “the solution to all the problems.”

Irvin was forced to clarify his statement on Twitter when a guy stated that Lamb doesn’t play defense and special teams.
With offensive players like Lamb, Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper, the Dallas Cowboys are looking like a serious threat on paper.
