The Jacksonville Jaguars have no business being in the playoffs right now, but they have a quarterback who refused to let them go down.
When the Jaguars went down by 27 points to the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC wild-card round, the team could’ve easily set their vacation plans and packed it in during the second half, but that is not what we witnessed last week.
During the latest edition of Inside the NFL from NFL Films, a mic ‘d-up video showed Trevor Lawrence informing his teammates that they simply needed to chip away at the lead to get back into the contest.
It started with a touchdown pass with less than 30 seconds to play in the first half which got the team believing while they headed into the locker room.
As we all saw, Lawrence kept his turnovers in check after throwing four interceptions and then led his team back to an improbable comeback to defeat the Chargers and move on to the next round.
The Jaguars will now face the Kansas City Chiefs where they come in with a QB who has a 37-0 record when playing on Saturday. Just something to think about.
