Joe Burrow exited Thursday night’s game at M&T Bank Stadium with a wrist injury and did not return. No one truly had a clue on how bad it was except for Joe Burrow.
Burrow will miss the rest of the season with a torn ligament in his right wrist, ending a disappointing campaign for the Cincinnati Bengals’ star quarterback in the first year of a $275 million contract.
We are now seeing Burrow’s immediate reaction to his season-ending injury as he walked off the field against the Ravens.
Burrow: “It popped… my wrist.”
The Bengals may find themselves on the receiving end of a fine due to his injury.
Considering the Bengals deleted a social media video that showed Burrow with his hand and wrist in a wrap when arriving in Baltimore on Wednesday, and considering Burrow left the game after what looked like a non-contact injury to his throwing hand/wrist. He was also not mentioned on an injury report.

Burrow did take a hit from Jadeveon Clowney one play before suffering the injury while throwing a touchdown pass, but it wasn’t a hit made with excessive force, and it didn’t result in major contact.
The 26-year-old Burrow established himself as one of the league’s top quarterbacks while leading the Bengals to the Super Bowl after the 2021 season and the AFC title game the following year.
The team started out slow this year but became one of the hottest teams until they lost to the Texans and then the Ravens, and now the season may be all but finished with the injury to Burrow.
