NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell shared a questionable embrace with Chris Jones following the Kansas City Chiefs’ win at Super Bowl 57 on Sunday.
The controversial holding call and the slippery playing surface provided more than enough ammunition for persons claiming the game was rigged or that the league is scripted, but Goodell’s interaction with Jones fanned the flames as he appeared to be overwhelmingly happy with the Kansas City victory.
The two men had a brief conversation on the night, which could be heard in the video below.
“Congratulations, that was awesome,” Goodell told Jones.
Audio from the original video, though not as clear, exposes some more questionable verbiage from the league commissioner.

“I don’t care how you hit the quarterback,” Goodell is also heard saying.
The reaction from fans came as expected.
While Super Bowl 57 was one of the most memorable finals in the history of the game, it’s also going to be remembered for the conspiracy theories. If nothing more, this is certainly strange behavior from a man who is supposed to remain neutral, at least in public.
